Everything we had was great, looking forward to the next time I go back. Service was great, really chill atmosphere even though we were greeted at the door with 5 star restaurant customer service. The homemade ginger beer was really good- not as strong ginger as some others I have had so if you've never had ginger beer don't hesitate even if you not big on ginger. The fish and chips was bordering too much breading not enough fish, but that's the only bad thing I could say.

This place has some great food options. They also have indoor or outdoor seating available. Last but not least is their beer selection! They have some great options on tap. If you are in the Des Moines area stop in to this upscale bar and restaurant.

Wing were top of the line. I would say the best wings I’ve ever had. The servers were very kind and were very speedy when it came to our drinks and food, despite being basically full to the max. Will definitely be back

I recently worked with the banquet manager here to organize a late-night party after a political event at Wells Fargo. The atmosphere, food, and service were fantastic, but most notably they worked very creatively with me to create a great experience despite the fact that I was not able to provide an exact number of guests or a firm arrival time. I'm sure our event was unique in that way, but their willingness to accommodate us and create a quality experience speaks volumes, and I imagine it extends to all aspects of their service. Thank you for a great night!

Absolutely delicious, a little overpriced. The wait staff were very nice to us and checked on us often. I had the spicy jambalaya, and while it was delicious, I don't feel that it was worth $20. I would come here again but it is not a place I would frequent more than once a month or so.

Great food and beer. Cheese squares are delicious. Quick, friendly service for lunch. Stay 1/2 hour and you get 1/2 off your food. That was a nice surprise!

Incredibly disappointed. Spent over $100 at this location and had a great time only to be towed without my consent. Signs outside the site not clear for parking purposes and I'm not from town. So disappointed and will not be returning.

There are better restaurants, but this place has a good selection of food and excellent options for beer. Also a great place to watch a game. Go if you've never been!

One of the first spots I tried in Des Moines is still great every time. Good food with a couple of veg options plus great local brews and cocktails.

I really enjoyed the food I ate here and the beer they served. I can't remember the name of the beer I tried, but it was very light and quite tasty. The food and service was also awesome. We came in with a party of 11 for a bachelorette party and had a great time. We felt very welcomed and it was awesome for my first visit in Des Moines

Food and beer were great. Friendly service. Seating area furthest from the bar is a bit dated. It's what you see when you first walk in, so not a great first impression.

Service was good, food was decent at best. Prices were ok.

We visited CABCo for Lunch on a Saturday. We have visited a few times and overall would give it 3 stars. The food is good and portions are large, but it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. The Pineapple Mule was great and made with house infused vodka. Service fell down a bit on our recent visit with about a 30 minute wait to receive our food, but has been better in previous visits. Overall I would return if others wanted to go here, but it won’t be at the top of my list.

The food is a bit expensive but it's a good place to stop. We went there on a long trip and I'd say it's worth getting off the interstate to see. The atmosphere is great, the staff is attentive, and its nice and quiet. We went there at lunch so it was pretty empty.

Stumbled upon this place with my husband on a day trip to Des Moines for our anniversary. Upon walking in, this is an absolutely gorgeous historic building. Vintage cozy feel. Staff is friendly, were prompt and helpful despite us coming at an odd time 3-4pm. Food was unbelievable! For drinks husband got a peach something (sorry don't remember the name) and I got the Bad Apple...AMAZING!!! For appetizer we got the spinach artichoke dip, again jaw dropping delish. And for food, my husband got a cabco burger. I got the grilled salmon gnocchi...wow. Food was absolutely amazing!! So much flavor, freshness, and just damn good!!Our waiter was very attentive and caring- did not over do it or fake the friendliness, very refreshing and appreciated! I unfortunately don't remember his name, but it was on the 30th of September. Thanks again for such an amazing experience. If we are ever back in the area we will have to come back here!!

We had a great time & great food! Really enjoyed the pizza & beer. Very friendly waiter. If you want the stout, get there quick, otherwise they'll reintroduce it next winter (it's worth the wait).

Had wings, side salad and prime rib. Wings were excellent and side salad was step above typical side salads- fairly large and all vegetables were fresh. Prime rib was outstanding despite late hour we arrived. Highly recommend.

The food is pretty good there. I had the Reuben with a side of the Crispy Red Potatoes, it was awesome. I'm definitely going to start incorporating the Crispy Red Potatoes into my own cooking and if you like Reuben's you can't go wrong with theirs. I also had the Garden Mule which is, house infused cucumber vodka, lime juice & Wertzberger's ginger beer, it was light and delicious with my meal.

Go for the beer, stay for the food, leave before you eat yourself into a blissful coma. I ate at this restaurant on several occasions during my time in Des Moines. In short they offer a wide range of delicious micro brews, paired with a robust menu of classic comfort food, all served in a casual atmosphere. The steaks are good, the pizzas are good, the sandwiches are good, the beer is good. I'm not sure I have anything negative to say about this place. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop here for a bite to eat.

The service is very slow. We were a big party for lunch and they took over an hour to get the food out, didn't refill our drinks often enough. Unfortunately tip was also included and they couldn't care less. Food was decent though.

It was good but it would have been nice if they would have told us BEFORE we ordered that they had a party of 50. Lunch took well over an hour today. At least our server did tell us finally what was taking so long

Good beer. Pleasant atmosphere and comfy booths. Lettuce in the salad was a little large, but if you fold it over on your fork it’s fine. Be ready for a lot of oil content if you order the Maple Butter Burger (my friends ordered it). They said the butter + beef really got heavy. V friendly service in a real cute neighborhood.

Not too shabby! Neat old building. Didn't know it was a limited brunch menu when we went in. Friendly staff, but not super attentive. We only got checked on once in the hour we were there, and wasn't super busy. Food was great. The Maple Butter Burger was excellent and a little messy(just like my choice of women), but super delicious! A little bit more of a classy place, which explains the $6.50, 8 ounce Captain and Coke. But i do like my Captain, and i was thirsty, so whats a guy to do? Overall i really enjoyed CAB Co, and i am looking forward to visiting during dinner hours.

We were there on a Saturday morning a month ago and we're still thinking about it, we had the best time!! Kim was our bartender and she is beyond amazing!! She made the best bloody Mary and was so attentive whenever our drinks looked ready for a refill. Kim, if you ever see this, remember the invite is always open for a day of sun and fun on our houseboat at Birdland Marina! Court Ave Brewery rocks Y'all!!

The food is a little over priced, the wing special on Sunday is awesome! I went in the other night and food wasn't up to par but, the bartender went out of his way to make a great experience. I had the Honey Brew (which was amazing!) and their new butter maple burger, the burger was good but both the bun and pattie were very over cooked. I will definitely give them another chance.

And excellent desserts too! We've often enjoyed happy hour and the excellent appetizers but tried some desserts last night. The chocolate raspberry cheesecake was rich & wonderful. The apple crisp was delicious and made for sharing. We keep finding more reasons to come back!

We ordered the Mothers Day brunch and mimosa kit. I was happy with the taste and quality of the food but I do not think listing this to feed 4-6 people was accurate. For instance when I think of feeding four people I would expect there to be four servings of each item listed. In this case that was inaccurate and for the price I would expect better. Three lemon bars do not feed 4-6 people, three slices of quiche does not feed 4-6 people an so forth. I do appreciate the service during these times, but am still a little disappointed.

This is one of our mainstays when passing through Des Moines. The food is good. The price is right and the staff is always helpful and personable... What more could you ask for?This time we had the curry pizza... It didn't disappoint.

Enjoyed a delicious Reuben with the cup of iowa ham and potatoe soup. The soup is rare delicacy to be savored. The staff was friendly and courteous. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience and is located in the downtown court avenue district. I have also had the first beef and au jui. The au jui was savory. The rust beef was very plain.

Best wings I’ve ever had

Had a steak with a side of crispy potatoes. It was delicious and perfectly cooked.

The place has excellent food and great wait staff both times I have visited. They have restaurant, bar, or patio seating. The restaurant section was not busy ( Tuesday evening) There is quiet old school rock music playing in the background (Van Halen, from my high school days 🤘) The menu felt more upscale than the seating area. I didn't like the TVs in the restaurant (should move them to the bar side) Lastly, not the restaurants fault but parking down town is a pain in the butt. So much easier to go west where parking is free and readily available.

Fantastic food and service! We had the Nachos and the Caramel Apple Crisp (just a light snack while passing through Des Moines) and were blown away by everything! Wonderful experience and we plan to be back.

my friend and i were in des moines for only a few hours, and were looking for anything to satisfy our hunger. we stumbled upon court ave and our expectations were exceeded tenfold. the beer is made only feet away from you and you can tell by how delicious and refreshing it it. our server (i wish i could remember her name) was fabulous, recommending the spinach & artichoke dip that we will be thinking about until our next des moines excursion and long after. our entrees were delicious with extra points for some of the best french fries and ranch dressing either of us had ever had. the falafel patty was spicy and fresh- something you would expect in a city five times the size. all in all, we walked away with full bellies, and a new favorite spot that sadly we can rarely venture to.

We came here right at the Saturday dinner rush and the food was amazing! The waitress was fantastic! Everything was hot, fast, and drinks were always full. We had the 309 prime rib, andouille sausage and shrimp pasta. Holy cow the portion sizes are huge! The only pain is finding a place to park.

Fantastic food and incredible brews! Everytime my wife and I go there we make sure to ask for Jeffrey to be our server, Jeffrey goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is great! Always have all-around great experiences.

We visited Court Avenue Brewing around 10 PM on a Sunday night. (The kitchen closes at 10:30) Although the bar area was full there were only a few in the rest of the restaurant. We had a great time and were served in a quick and professional manner and our server, Jeffrey, was one of the best we have ever had anywhere. The food was delicious and hit the perfect spot after a night at the Civic Center. I give the restaurant my highest recommendation.

We just stopped in for drinks. Great service and wonderful martinis! It looks like a great place for a group outing. Since I'm not sure how the food is I didn't give it 5 stars.

Prices are middle to higher end but it was worth it! Fed a family of four for $114, that includes about a 20% tip. Server was courteous and attentive.

We were looking for a place to have a nice lunch before traipsing off to the Fair, and our hotel recommended this restaurant. Absolutely one of the most delicious and juicy burgers that I have ever had! My friend had the Maple Butter Burger and raved about it. We would highly recommend this establishment and will return when next in the area.
